William "Bill" McNamara

President, Co-founder

     William “Bill” McNamara is co-founder and president of MyTechPro. His ethos is reflected in the firm's concierge-style customer support positioning it to continue its ascent in the consumer and business segments.

 

McNamara attended UNLV and College of Southern Nevada taking coursework in computers and business, and coupled it with hands-on experience that started at the age of 18 when he started his first company, Preferred Carpet Cleaning. Four years later, he was offered a customer support position at Silicon Gaming, Inc. and was promoted to manager shortly thereafter.

 

McNamara knack is finding ways to do things with greater efficiency. While at Silicon Gaming, he designed a database program that saved both money and time, and his bright mind resulted in his recruitment by mPower Communications as an IT HelpDesk Tech. He worked his way to Senior Level 3 Tech.

 

McNamara credits his enterprising success to his mentors including his entrepreneurial family. As the President of MyTechPro, McNamara's visionary nature is propelling the company into the national spotlight as the IT brand for digital technologies integration.

 

Despite a hectic schedule, McNamara makes service to the community a priority. He provides support that allow for educational opportunities in technology to underserved youth, and donates resources to non-profit organizations. A self-professed tinkerer, McNamara indulges his passion for fabricating race cars when he can find the time.

 

Jeff Ames

Co-founder

     Jeff Ames volunteers at the City Impact Center as a board member and Director of Business Development and Technology.

 

Jeff recently retired as Chief Technical Officer (CTO) and is an original member of Switch Communications Group, LLC, the premier data center and Network Access Point (NAP)  located in Las Vegas.

 

Jeff currently serves on the boards of three non-profit organizations providing community services and technology advancement, as well as consults for some emerging technology companies.

 

In support of Lawrence Livermore Labs and the Nevada Test Site, Jeff was Field Administrator for the photonics research team, using high-speed Electro-optic systems for the Department of Energy, he contributed to experiment planning with a team providing data acquisition and diagnostics for specialized weapons systems.

 

After leaving the government, Jeff worked with small emerging technology companies in Nevada in conjunction with the Small Business Administration. Jeff supported companies such as Motorola, DOE, DOT, US Bureau of Reclamation, Department of Forestry, and Lawrence Livermore Laboratory.

In 1993 Jeff formed the first Internet Service Provider (ISP) in Nevada. He helped establish some of the first high-bandwidth services to many governmental and commercial organizations in the Southwest. Jeff also served on the VAR advisory council for Netscape and helped several ISP’s and web productions companies get started and grow.

 

Jeff crafted the City of North Las Vegas Fiber Infrastructure plan.  He was manager of the broadband R&D Lab and Methods and Procedures Program at a national CLEC. He helped design and deploy state-wide fiber infrastructure.

 

Jeff has been married and has lived in Las Vegas for over 30 years.

 

Harold Hammond

EVP of Operations

     Harold has 40 years of experience in Retail Operations, 29 years of those years with Albertsons/Supervalu. He served in many capacities starting as a courtesy clerk ,while in high school, rising through store operations management. During his term in Store Management, he was selected to act as a liaison between operations and corporate within Northern California. His responsibilities included identifying and providing solutions for loss of product inventory; as well as, implementing training operations during IT Project Rollouts. Harold ultimately accepted a position within the Albertson / Supervalu Corporate IT department where he oversaw the design and construction of the Network Infrastructure for 16 new stores and 20 remodels in 8 years. In this capacity, he supervised vendor support for 10 deployments, all on time and under budget.

 

Within his position at MyTechPro, Harold will oversee the retail operations. He will assist with implementation of the stated company vision of providing excellence in customer service and experience. To achieve this goal his responsibilities will include the ability to train, motivate, supervise and evaluate operators and staff.
