A pic posted on Facebook may have saved four-year-old Ted Rice’s Life. The youngster had a rash on his face that worried Phillip Rice. He was so concerned that he sent the picture to his friend’s doctor through Facebook.
The little warrior will have to faces years of chemotherapy but he now has a better chance of living.
Phillip Rice, and anesthetic assistance, saw symptoms early on such as bruises and minor nosebleed but nothing to concern them about leukemia.
Mr. Rice had gotten worried when he saw his son Ted with a rash near his left eye.

Ted didn’t have a temperature or fever which had gotten the father to worry. So he sent the pic (above) to Dr. Sara Barton, a colleague at Salford Royal Hospital. She had told him that the rash was acute lymphocyte Leukemia.
Ted, who has a two-year-old sister, Pippa, has already had three months of daily chemotherapy which will continue for three years. He has lost his hair and needs a wheelchair to get around due to the side-effects of his treatment, but his parents hope he will be well enough to attend pre-school.
Mr. Rice has had his head shaved in support of Ted, and Dr. Barton is taking part in the Great Manchester Run in May to raise money for The Rainbow Trust, which supports children with life-threatening illness and their families.
